Mrs. Villars is the Founder and Board Chairman of Camelot Ghana Limited. She has worked as a Systems Consultant with West African Data Services Bureau (WADSB). She is the past president of the AGI (Association of Ghana Industries) as well as a past president of the Governing Council of the PEF (Private Enterprise Foundation).
She is the recent past Chairman of the Steering Committee of the BUSAC Fund sponsored by USAID, DANIDA & EU.
Mrs. Villars has a long-standing track-record and several achievements within Ghana’s Private Sector.
Mr. Villars is Founder of EVC Africa with close to 20 years of working experience in Advisory, Banking, Financial Services and Tech industries across the U.S., Middle East and Africa. His profound multidisciplinary knowledge across various sectors underpins his Advisory leadership in both commercial and developmental contexts. With EVC, Ed has championed several programs into and across Africa with various Think-tanks, multinational and local clients within the Banking/Financial Services Industry, Extractives and Natural Resources Industry and the Energy and Utilities Space.
Kenneth is a seasoned finance and business executive with over 20 years of experience across audit, advisory, FMCG, and telecommunications throughout Africa. He currently serves as Managing Executive: Finance Partner at Vodacom Business. Prior to this role, he was Chief Financial Officer for Vodacom International Business, where he led the financial strategy for operations across the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Ghana, Mozambique, and Tanzania, driving financial performance, capital allocation, regulatory compliance, and finance digital transformation. Before joining Vodacom, Kenneth served as Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Ghana and held several senior finance leadership roles at British American Tobacco across Africa. A qualified Chartered Accountant with an MBA from the University of Cape Town, he is recognized for his expertise in corporate finance, strategic leadership, governance, business transformation, and delivering sustainable shareholder value.
Mr. Gebara brings to EVC over 25 years of experience in Impact investing, Development consulting, and fund management' Nicolas contributes a wealth of knowledge from his tenure as Director and Fund manager for the BUSAC Phase I -III funds (over 100M USD) for clients such as Danida, EU, USAID across Africa and the EU. In these roles he managed all aspects of the grant cycle, liased with all stakeholders (Ministeries & Government, Private sector, etc) to deploy, evaluate, and successfully achieve the mandates.
Mr. John Colin Villars is a distinguished business leader and legal professional with over 25 years of experience across investment banking, corporate finance, manufacturing, industrial operations, business development, corporate governance, and law. He played a key role in several landmark transactions, including the IPO of Ghana Commercial Bank, and later led the successful listing and regional expansion of Camelot Ghana PLC across nine African countries. As Managing Director of Camelot Ghana PLC, he has driven the company's diversification into new business lines while serving on the boards of several leading organizations, including GCB Bank PLC as a Non-Executive Director, SEM Capital Limited, EVC Africa, and Quality Life Assurance Company Limited. A qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, Mr. Villars holds academic and professional qualifications in finance, industrial financial management, and law from institutions in the UK and Germany, bringing a unique blend of commercial, governance, and legal expertise to the organizations he serves.
